A Promise
Neighborhood
planning grant
is a one-year
award to develop
a continuum of
cradle-to-college-to-career
solutions that
will
significantly
improve
educational and
developmental
outcomes for
children in a
specified
geographic area.
The plan for a
Promise
Neighborhood
will include
schools,
academic
supports, family
and community
involvement.
Most applicants
must provide a
50 percent
match. The match
for rural areas
is 25 percent.
