Family Connection is a statewide network of 159 counties who have made a commitment to improve results for children and families. Funded by the State of Georgia and the private sector, Family Connection began in 1991 with an initial 15 communities and has now become the largest statewide network of community collaboratives in the nation.
Their vision is for Georgia's children to be healthy, ready to start and perform better in school, and have stable, economically self-sufficient families.
Family Connection represents one voice promoting local decision-making and community priorities. As an intermediary, we connect partners to each other for peer learning, resource sharing, and replicating of best practices.
Family Connection partners include families, faith- and civic- based organizations, public/private foundations and human service providers, community and business leaders, and state and local elected officials.
