Youth Council

The Cherokee Youth Council is a committee of diverse area teenagers that come together to tackle the substance use issues facing youth in Cherokee County. These young leaders develop an annual strategic plan for preventing and reducing alcohol and drug abuse among their peers and act as advisors to the Drug Free Cherokee coalition.

Youth Challenge

An annual, one day event, the Cherokee Youth Challenge is a collaborative effort amongst Local Business Leaders, Cherokee County Service Providers, Law Enforcement, Health Agencies, Youth Organizations, and Volunteers—including students from Reinhardt University. The event is a fun way for teenagers to learn how to navigate real life situations. The next Youth Challenge will be held in 2017.
