The mission of the coalition is to prevent deaths by suicide in Cherokee County, to bring awareness and education to the community, to decrease the stigma associated with mental illness, and to bring hope for a brighter future.
The Cherokee County Suicide Prevention Coalition (CCSPC) was launched in August 2019 by individuals and professionals in our community in response to the rise in deaths by suicide.
Our coalition is comprised of members of our community from the following fields who participate either as core members or supporting agencies: court systems, community organizations, education, government, law enforcement and investigative agencies, mental health, religious organizations, senior services, suicide prevention advocates and veteran services organizations.
